For the past two years ai have spent hundreds of hours answering the call as is a RISE Crisis Line Volunteer and Advocate.

I RISE Up because I find it essential that there are those among us who are willing to show up at the ground floor, at the site of impact, for our community members who are impacted by intimate partner violence and sexual assault. I show up by being a warm hand and open heart, a voice that says ‘I believe you, this is not your fault,’ at the police station, at the SART center, at the hospital, on the crisis line at 4 am. I ask you to RISE Up with me by supporting RISE with all the services they offer. Thank you very much.

ABOUT Year End Appeal 2019

Since 1975, RISE has made it their mission to help survivors—our friends, neighbors, and loved ones in San Luis Obispo County—through essential services like counseling, 24-hour support line, legal services, emergency shelter, and prevention programming.

As the organization embarks on its 45th year, RISE is facing over $115,000 in cuts to state funding. Join your community in sustaining these vital services for survivors and families, and you can help ensure RISE services continue for another 45 years.
