This year has been extraordinarily challenging for us all.

COVID-19 has impacted everyone and especially survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence.

Due to COVID-19, RISE has received more requests for service.

Over the summer, as shelter-at-home restrictions eased, compared to the same time last year:

► 50% more calls to the 24-hour crisis line

► 40% more unmet requests for emergency shelter

► 2X more crisis support hours were provided

RISE has adapted our services to meet the new and growing needs of survivors during the pandemic.

We are committed to offering uninterrupted services for local survivors, and we need your help.

Due to Covid-19 I lost my job. I am a parent, the head of my household, and I had no resources to pay my rent. Thankfully I received financial support, and RISE helped me pay my rent. They also provided me with assistance to buy clothing for my children. It has been incredible to be a part of RISE. I don’t feel alone.”

“The first time I walked into the RISE office, I had no idea what I was going to do. I was not doing well. I didn’t even want to live anymore. I had so much shame, but RISE helped me. An advocate went with me to make a police report and gave me guidance and emotional support. If it wasn’t for all the support from RISE and the therapy, I don’t know where I would be right now.
